Challenge Charter School uses a four level scale to identify the status of health related threats, illnesses, and pandemics at our school.
| Current Level | Health Watch Status | Description |

Normal | There are no immediate or potential health related threats. |
| Elevated | There is an increased, but not serious risk of spreading illness. Additional precautions are being taken at school to reduce the spread of illness. | |
| High |
There is a considerable risk of spreading
illness. The school will remain open and is taking multiple
precautions towards reducing the spread of illness. |

| Severe | There is a widespread breakout of illness at the school or the immediate area. In order to prevent the further spread of illness, the school will be closed until it is safe to return. |
Examples of additional precautions taken by the school
during elevated or high alert situations:
- Classroom tables and chairs are disinfected throughout the day.
- Drinking fountains and door handles are disinfected frequently.
- Teacher's enforce additional hand washing throughout the day.
- Students showing any signs of illness are removed from class and sent home.
